Beginning basketry was a gentle escape from the noise of everyday life. Like many, I juggle work, family, and endless to-do lists — always on the go, always planning the next thing.  Longing for something slower… something that invited peacefulness.

Several years ago, I discovered the beauty of natural fibres through the repetitive motion of wrapping, twisting, and coiling. It brought me moments of joy, as well as the ability to quiet my mind and remain creative.
